100 Days

Yesterday marked Jamison’s 100th day. 100 days in the outside world. 100 days figuring out how it works around here. 100 days of turning our days and nights totally upside. 100 days of making us moms.

It seems unfathomable that he is into triple digits on days. Sarah and I were talking about what might happen in the next 100 days. Will he crawl? Speak any words? Have any hair? Have any teeth? Have a favorite food? A favorite toy?

Here’s to the next 100 days! May they be as sweet and amazing as the first 100.

From Newborn to Infant

Jess informed me the other day that we have graduated Jamison from his “4th trimester” or commonly known as being a newborn from ages 0-3 months,  to having an infant ages 3 months+ where he will likely remain until he is 23. Well, it might not be that extreme, but I really like this age so far. He is doing great things. For instance Jamison’s  Fairy God Mother babysat for a few hours the other day and upon our return told us he had recited the Preamble to the Constitution.  Big things are happening for our little guy and it is happening really fast. Even as new parents we have learned so much, had to unlearn some selfish habits, and utterly flipped our world upside down for the last 90+ days… and I wouldn’t have had it any other way (that was probably an erroneous use of ellipses but I don’t give a shit). Obviously, I have yet to learn how to uncuss.  We are definitely a growing family probably just like yours. We even have good days and bad days, but for now things are really good and I’m glad we got to share. ImageImage
